How to fast track through the social security lines

I made several attempts to resolve my social security issue online. I read through at least four different websites to resolve my issue. I mailed in the online form with my two documents. They were returned to me two months later.

I then tried to make an appointment. I got hung up on after 10 attempts to speak to a live human being.

So here I am. At the dreaded Social Security office. With my number in hand. There is NO fast track. I’m not special. I can’t stomp my feet or throw my title out to get better service. I have a number. Same as the other 50 people in the room.

I can only wait, same as everyone else.

I need to change my name because I got married and I no longer want to keep the name of the jerk I was married to before. Sigh…..

And I have to go to the bathroom.
